The position is for a Tech Lead Developer specializing in Delphi and Oracle PL/SQL, and it is a remote role based in Brazil.
The candidate must be fluent in English and possess skills in team leadership, Delphi, Oracle, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
The role involves leading development teams in a local line management capacity, reporting to the Software Engineering Manager in Europe.
Responsibilities include setting targets, mentoring team members, ensuring quality in development, participating in sprint planning and retrospectives, assigning development tasks, estimating complexity and workload, and choosing appropriate technical solutions.
The Tech Lead Developer will design, develop, and deploy changes to the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) based on customer and business user requirements.
Collaboration with other team members, including Engineers and QA, is essential to ensure high-quality solutions and adherence to good practices and standards.
Requirements:
The candidate must have experience as a Tech Lead in a local line management capacity.
A minimum of 4 years of experience developing solutions using Embarcadero Delphi 2006 or later, with Delphi 12 being preferable.
Experience in developing Windows Services and/or UI Forms using Delphi is a clear advantage.
A minimum of 7 years of experience with Oracle PL/SQL is required for senior roles.
Strong working knowledge of server-side development with Delphi and/or Oracle PL/SQL is necessary.
The candidate should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
A good understanding of relational databases, specifically Oracle 9i, 11c, or later, is required.
The candidate must have strong knowledge of Agile software development practices, particularly Scrum and/or Kanban.
Clear experience in collaboration with Business Analysts and Software Architects is essential.
Some experience in test-driven development and test automation is preferred.
The candidate should be comfortable with unit testing and mocking in Delphi.
The ability to translate functional requirements into technical solutions is necessary.
A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a similar field is required.
