Description:

• The Senior Web Engineer will support, analyze, architect, and develop within existing and new applications and processes.
• The developer is expected to architect and implement new features, troubleshoot issues, provide enhancements, and perform maintenance and updates based on user and business needs.
• The role includes providing design feedback, developing performance monitoring metrics, documenting design and code base, and offering improvement suggestions.
• This position requires exceptional critical thinking, strong communication abilities, and outstanding interpersonal skills.

• Responsibilities include collaborating with project managers and product stakeholders to develop and support the UConnect platform, providing updates to existing platforms and integrations, testing and managing codebases and software releases, making recommendations and implementing updates to the Fusion platform, assisting software development teams with ad hoc development projects, responding to ticket requests regarding software and code issues, and offering architectural guidance and strategic planning for new features and functionalities.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have extensive experience (7+ years) in reading, running, and writing Ruby on Rails code.
• Experience in reading, running, and writing Javascript is required.
• Candidates should have experience deploying code via Ansible.
• A solid understanding of software design principles is necessary.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Strong attention to detail is required.
• A positive attitude to troubleshoot systems with little documentation or knowledge base is important.
• A good understanding of performance monitoring and reporting tools for software running on servers is needed.
• Experience with Liquid templating language is required.
• Familiarity with Jira, Github, and Hubot is necessary.
• Proficiency with MongoDB is required.
• AWS/DevOps experience is preferred.
