Remote (701) Senior WordPress Engineer

Description:

• The Senior WordPress Engineer will be responsible for managing plugins and code built for WordPress.
• Primary focus on developing server-side logic, maintaining central databases, applying WordPress standards and UI elements, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
• Integrating front-end elements built by co-workers into the application.
• Understanding of front-end technologies and modern API practices required.
• Building custom WordPress themes from scratch individually or as part of a team.
• Testing, maintaining, enhancing, and troubleshooting existing client sites.
• Translating designs and technical requirements into modular, performant, and accessible HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Providing estimates for project work and suggesting alternatives when challenging tasks arise.
• Making recommendations for efficient front-end approaches and methodologies.
• Collaborating with designers to develop modular design systems for code reuse.
• Participating in technical discussions, contributing ideas to improve internal tools and processes.
• Receiving business training for continuing education.
• Being part of a team developing cutting-edge technology.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience working with WordPress (PHP).
• 3+ years of experience working with JavaScript.
• 3+ years of experience working with HTML & CSS.
• Advanced English Level required for effective communication with US clients.
