Remote (725) Senior Software Engineer

Description:

• The Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer position at Nearsure involves managing and implementing business knowledge and technical skills, deploying and managing production systems, and supporting environments with a focus on engineering backend and PaaS-focused products and services.
• The team is working on a no/low code solution for customer workflow automation, where the engineer will develop new features, fix bugs, and optimize the Ruby codebase to enhance scale and performance.
• Responsibilities include developing new applications and services using Ruby on Rails, microservices technology, Azure PaaS offerings, and other relevant technologies, documenting architectural designs, testing new designs for compliance with quality standards, interpreting requirements, testing applications in various environments, maintaining and modifying existing applications, estimating and planning work, optimizing system behavior, proposing solutions, improving operations, participating in team exercises, mentoring team members, and staying updated on development practices.
• The role will consist of 90% coding and 10% mentoring other engineers.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• 5+ years of experience working with Ruby on Rails.
• 2+ years of experience working with AWS or Azure.
• 2+ years of experience building scalable cloud native architecture.
• 2+ years of experience working with Microservices.
• 1+ years of experience mentoring team members.
• Advanced English Level is necessary for effective communication with US clients.
