Nearsure is seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Java Engineer to join their remote LATAM team.
The role involves leading the design, development, and maintenance of the Event Hub platform.
Responsibilities include collaborating with multifunctional teams to analyze, design, and implement cloud-native software solutions.
The engineer will develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code, participate in code and design reviews, and mentor junior engineers.
The position requires evaluating new cloud-native technologies and ensuring adherence to software development processes.
The engineer will also write and maintain technical documentation, implement CI/CD pipelines, and manage relational and non-relational databases in a cloud-native environment.

Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience working with Java.
A minimum of 3 years of experience with AWS (ECS) is necessary.
Candidates should have 3+ years of experience in Microservices and Architecture.
3+ years of experience with CI/CD practices is required.
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
3+ years of experience with SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) is necessary.
At least 2 years of experience with Kafka is required.
An advanced level of English is essential for effective communication with US clients.
