Description:

  • As a Senior Data Engineer, you will enhance and optimize data and pipeline architecture, enriching data flow and collection for cross-functional teams.
  • You will collaborate with software developers, database architects, data analysts, and data scientists to ensure consistent and optimal data delivery architecture across ongoing projects.
  • Your responsibilities include designing and implementing data and application integrations, as well as data pipelines on both existing and new information systems.
  • You will construct secure data pipelines, focusing on automation through CI/CD techniques.
  • Identifying and resolving data quality issues in collaboration with the data team will be part of your role.
  • You will prepare data for business users, data analysts, and data scientists.
  • Direct communication with clients and product owners will be required.
  • Supporting system design and assisting with issue triage, diagnosis, and resolution will be expected.
  • You will collaborate on code reviews and solutions with other developers.
  • Contributing to system development methodologies and staying informed about evolving technologies, techniques, architectures, and hardware relevant to data management and platforms is essential.
  • Ensuring robust data security through encryption, access controls, and authentication mechanisms to maintain data integrity and confidentiality is a key responsibility.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • You must have 5+ years of experience working as a Data Engineer.
  • 5+ years of experience in data migration projects over mainstream databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, DB2) is necessary.
  • You should have 5+ years of experience in data modeling for Data Warehouses or Data Lakes, building efficient data pipelines.
  • 3+ years of experience working with Python for data manipulation, scripting, and integration tasks is required.
  • 2+ years of experience with Shell scripting skills (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) is needed.
  • You must have 2+ years of experience working with Azure cloud platforms.
  • 2+ years of experience in data security and privacy is required.
  • You should have 2+ years of experience in automation of data pipelines.
  • 2+ years of experience with source code control using Git is necessary.
  • Experience implementing Microsoft Fabric into production environments or 2+ years of experience with Azure Data Factory and/or Azure Synapse Analytics is required.
  • Experience with SQL is necessary.
  • You should have experience with API programming interfaces such as JDBC, ODBC, REST API, and SOAP API.
  • Experience with various data types (structured, semi-structured, unstructured, JSON, AVRO, ORC, Parquet, Iceberg, Arrow) is required.
  • An advanced English level is essential for this role as you will work with US clients, and effective communication in English is crucial.
