Remote AI Architect/Engineer

Description:

• The AI Architect/Engineer will understand business objectives and develop models that help achieve them, along with metrics to track their progress.
• The role requires understanding and using computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, computability and complexity, and computer architecture.
• The engineer will analyze machine learning algorithms that could be used to solve given problems and rank them by their success probability, as well as analyze large, complex datasets to extract insights and decide on the appropriate technique.
• Responsibilities include building algorithms based on statistical modeling procedures and maintaining scalable machine learning solutions in production.
• The position involves applying machine learning algorithms and libraries, exploring and visualizing data to gain understanding, and identifying differences in data distribution that could affect model performance in the real world.
• The engineer will verify data quality through data cleaning and supervise the data acquisition process if more data is needed.
• Finding available datasets online for training, training models, and tuning their hyperparameters are also key tasks.
• Analyzing model errors and designing strategies to overcome them is essential.
• The role includes managing the infrastructure and data pipelines needed to bring code to production and deploying models.
• Providing support to engineers and product managers in implementing machine learning in the product is required.
• Collaboration with data engineers to build data and model pipelines and liaising with stakeholders to analyze business problems, clarify requirements, and define the scope of the resolution needed are also part of the job.
• The engineer will develop machine learning applications according to requirements.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or in a similar role is required.
• A strong understanding of data structures, data modeling, and software architecture is necessary.
• Candidates must have deep knowledge of math, probability, statistics, and algorithms.
• Demonstrated technical expertise in architecting solutions around AI, ML, deep learning, and related technologies is essential.
• Experience in developing AI/ML models in real-world environments and integrating AI/ML using cloud-native or hybrid technologies into large-scale enterprise applications is required.
• In-depth experience in AI/ML and data analytics services offered on Amazon Web Services and/or Microsoft Azure cloud solutions and their interdependencies is necessary.
• Effective data exploration and visualization skills using tools like Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik are required.
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries is essential.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team are necessary.
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
• The ability to explain complex processes to non-programming experts is essential.
• Experience with Amazon Cloud and AWS AI services is required.
• Proficiency in English at an upper-intermediate level or higher is necessary.
• Previous experience in client communication and the ability to interact with clients freely and consult them from a technical standpoint is required.
• A background in the pharmaceutical domain is preferred.
