Description:

Curology is seeking an AI Discovery & Product Training Lead to shape the future of skincare search and recommendation.
This role will bridge machine learning, structured product data, and real-world skincare knowledge to ensure accurate product recommendations by AI agents.
The position involves working at the intersection of product, data, and marketing, owning the AI training pipeline for product representation across consumer discovery platforms.
Responsibilities include analyzing AI product search results to identify gaps, writing and refining training prompts, and collaborating with various teams to ensure product data is cleanly structured.
The role also involves creating and maintaining taxonomies and skin condition ontologies, and partnering with legal and clinical teams for compliance in AI-facing content.
Strategic work includes leading the roadmap for Curology’s integration with AI platforms, improving AI-based discoverability, designing experiments for prompt engineering, and developing internal dashboards for tracking AI recommendations.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 4+ years of experience in product strategy, ecommerce data, taxonomy architecture, or AI applications.
Experience with large language models (LLMs) and AI systems such as OpenAI, Claude, and GPT plug-ins is required.
A deep understanding of product metadata, tagging, and structured content strategy is essential.
A background in beauty, skincare, healthtech, or direct-to-consumer personalization is a bonus.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are necessary, as this is a cross-functional, creator-operator role.

Salary Range: $160-190k, with placement in the range dependent on location and experience.
