Description:
WRS Health is seeking a skilled Artificial Intelligence Engineer to enhance AI-driven Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
The role focuses on developing and refining AI prompts to improve natural language processing (NLP) applications for healthcare workflows.
Responsibilities include developing and refining prompts for Large Language Models (LLMs) in healthcare applications and experimenting with various prompt strategies.
The engineer will collaborate with developers and domain experts to integrate LLM capabilities into WRS Health’s EHR platforms.
Ensuring prompts support accurate, context-aware responses tailored to healthcare-specific needs is essential.
The role involves evaluating and analyzing model outputs to identify inconsistencies or areas for improvement.
Collaboration with data scientists to fine-tune models using healthcare-specific datasets is required.
The engineer will work closely with healthcare professionals and cross-functional teams to ensure LLMs align with user needs.
Educating internal teams on prompt engineering best practices and AI applications in healthcare is part of the job.
Documentation of prompt engineering methodologies, experiments, and outcomes for future reference is necessary.
Regular reporting of progress, challenges, and insights to stakeholders is expected.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Computational Linguistics, or a related field is required.
Proven experience with prompt engineering and fine-tuning Large Language Models (e.g., OpenAI GPT, Claude, Llama) is essential.
Hands-on experience in developing and deploying NLP models, particularly in the healthcare domain, is a plus.
Proven experience in developing and deploying machine learning models is required.
Strong programming skills in Python and other relevant languages are necessary.
Proficiency in Python and NLP libraries (e.g., Hugging Face, spaCy, NLTK) is required.
Familiarity with APIs for interacting with LLMs and cloud platforms is necessary.
Knowledge of Lang Chain or other LLM system building frameworks such as LlamaIndex, AgentGPT, Flowise, Tensorflow, GPT3 by OpenAI, and others is preferred.
A background in Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) and Large Language Model Operations (LLMOps) is desirable.
Understanding of healthcare terminology and workflows is highly desirable.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities are required.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in cross-functional teams are essential.
Attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions is necessary.

The engineer will work during standard US business hours (9am-5pm EST or 8:30am-4:30pm EST).
