We are partnering with three fast-growing AI startups that are backed by top-tier investors and based in the Bay Area.
Each company is focused on building cutting-edge AI products that have a real-world impact in education, healthcare, and human productivity.
We are looking for Senior AI Engineers to join their technical founding teams and play a pivotal role in shaping and scaling their AI systems.
The role involves deploying LLMs in production, working on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, and building scalable, real-time AI solutions.
Responsibilities include building and optimizing RAG agents using modern LLM frameworks, designing scalable APIs and services using Python and FastAPI, and working with vector databases to enable semantic search and knowledge retrieval.
The position also requires querying and manipulating structured data using SQL, integrating and fine-tuning Large Language Models (LLMs) for product use cases, and collaborating with product and design teams to ship AI-powered features in rapid development cycles.
Additionally, the role involves contributing to MLOps pipelines and best practices for deploying and monitoring models in production.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in backend engineering or applied ML, preferably in a startup or fast-moving environment.
Strong experience with Python, FastAPI, and RESTful APIs is required.
Hands-on experience with RAG architectures, vector databases, and LLM APIs (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral, etc.) is essential.
A solid understanding of embedding models, prompt engineering, and semantic search is necessary.
Candidates should be comfortable working with SQL and structured datasets.
Strong product intuition and the ability to work autonomously on 0→1 projects are important.
Bonus points for experience with LangChain, Haystack, or similar frameworks.
