The AI Engineer will lead the design of scalable, secure, and modern technology solutions using artificial intelligence, cloud platforms, and microservices.
This role involves designing, building, and deploying next-gen AI solutions across Mercer’s global ecosystem, including Generative AI, RAG pipelines, and AI agents for internal tools and chatbots.
The position is a hands-on engineering role that bridges full-stack software development and advanced AI techniques.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 2+ years of experience in AI/ML or full-stack software engineering.
Hands-on experience in building LLM-based applications, RAG solutions, or AI agents is required.
Proficiency in Python and/or Node.js, along with familiarity with modern backend/middleware patterns, is essential.
Solid experience in MongoDB, particularly with vector search capabilities, is necessary.
Experience with the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express, Angular, Node.js) is required.
Familiarity with prompt engineering, embeddings, and retrieval pipelines is expected.
Candidates should have experience implementing or integrating Multi-Factor Authentication.
Comfort with using GitHub for source control and Jenkins for CI/CD automation is necessary.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively are required.
Strong communication skills to explain AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders are essential.
