Description:

- Roofstock has made recent acquisitions including Stessa, RentPrep, and Mynd to enhance its offerings.
- The role is for a Senior AI Engineer focused on GenAI infrastructure and applications, responsible for delivering on Roofstock's GenAI strategy.
- The engineer will work with a distributed team, ensuring high standards of communication and quality while executing tasks asynchronously.
- Responsibilities include architecting and implementing GenAI solutions, managing task transparency and organization, partnering with technical leaders, and conducting code reviews.
Requirements:
- Candidates must have 4+ years of experience building applications as an engineer.
- A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required.
- Experience in building AI applications, particularly GenAI using Agents, RAG, and LLMs is essential.
- Proficiency in building applications using AWS infrastructure is necessary.
- Strong experience with Java, Python, distributed systems design (microservices), and data assets is required.
- Candidates should be able to articulate technical challenges and solutions effectively.
- A deep understanding of processes and the ability to build and iterate within a high-performing team is needed.
- Proficiency with version control systems (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and change management (JIRA) is required.
- Flexibility to apply software best practices to non-deterministic solutions is essential.
- Fluency in English is mandatory, and candidates must be independent engineers available for ~40 hours/week.
