Description:
Future is seeking an AI & Automation Engineer to design and implement smart solutions that enhance manual business processes.
The role involves working with modern tools such as Temporal.io, n8n.io, Make.com, and various programming languages including Python, Go, Typescript, PHP, and Java to create custom automations.
Responsibilities include collaborating with teams across Sales, Product, Editorial, IT, and Engineering to identify inefficiencies, understand requirements, and build AI-driven solutions for data analysis, quality assurance, and planning.
The engineer will report to the Director of Engineering - Systems and AI and will lead projects from ideation to production, ensuring systems are scalable and well-tested using CI/CD pipelines.
As a subject matter expert, the engineer will promote responsible AI use, mentor team members, and help shape best practices and governance frameworks.
The role requires keeping pace with advancements in AI, LLMs, and automation technologies, contributing to innovation, documenting solutions, and participating in team initiatives like code reviews and hack days.
This position is crucial for embedding responsible, high-impact AI and automation solutions across Future, collaborating with various departments to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, elevate content quality, and drive profitable growth.
Requirements:
Candidates should have experience in a relevant technical role such as Automation, Software Engineering, or AI/ML Engineering.
A strong background in designing and implementing process automation solutions using workflow tools and custom scripting/programming is required.
Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language, including Python, Go, Javascript/TypeScript, Java, or PHP, is necessary.
Hands-on experience applying AI/ML concepts, including familiarity with commercial AI APIs and open-source models, is essential.
Understanding and practical application of modern software engineering best practices, including version control (Git), CI/CD principles, automated testing, and writing clean, maintainable code, is expected.
Excellent communication skills are required, with the ability to articulate complex technical ideas effectively to diverse audiences and collaborate across departments.
A customer-centric mindset, empathy for end-user needs, and a coaching approach with a willingness to share knowledge are important traits for this role.

The expected salary range for this role is CZK120,000 - CZK140,000.
