Description:

The position is for an AI Engineer at Vable, a profitable SaaS business servicing international law firms and government departments.
The role is fully remote, but an office space is available in Lviv, Ukraine for those who prefer it.
This is a full-time, self-employed contractor position requiring a 40-hour work week.
The interview process consists of a maximum of three stages totaling around 3.5 hours, including a technical task.
The AI Engineer will report to the Head of Product and Technology.
Responsibilities include building and improving AI/NLP models, collaborating with engineers and product teams, evaluating models, contributing to architecture discussions, writing clean code in Java and Python, and owning projects with autonomy.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field is required.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in polyglot software engineering, particularly full stack with a focus on Java, is necessary.
Proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch, as well as NLP frameworks like NLTK and spaCy, is essential.
Familiarity with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques for machine learning projects is required.
A strong understanding of various machine learning algorithms, including supervised and unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning, and neural networks, is necessary.
Hands-on experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) is required.
A solid grasp of mathematical concepts relevant to AI, such as linear algebra, calculus, and statistics, is essential.
Excellent written and spoken English is mandatory, as communication is conducted in English.
