Description:

HappyCo is seeking an AI Engineer to lead automation across business operations.
The mission is to build internal tools and AI-driven workflows that reduce manual work, streamline key processes, and empower teams.
The role involves working with leaders in Ops, Product, Customer Success, and Support to identify inefficiencies and design solutions using tools like Python, GPT, Zapier, Retool, and custom APIs.
Responsibilities include identifying and automating high-impact, repetitive workflows, building reliable AI agents and internal tools, launching quick POCs, tracking time savings, collaborating with stakeholders, creating an internal “Automation Library,” and staying updated on emerging AI trends.

Requirements:

Candidates should have 3–6+ years of experience in software engineering, automation, or machine learning.
Fluency in Python, APIs, and platforms like Zapier, LangChain, or Retool is required.
The ability to transform vague manual processes into clear, elegant solutions is essential.
Candidates must write clean, maintainable code for internal workflows.
Strong communication skills with both engineers and non-technical stakeholders are necessary.
A passion for saving time and demonstrating impact is important.
Candidates should be deeply curious, humble, and action-oriented.
