Remote AI Engineer

• The AI Engineer will design, build, and scale agentic AI platforms and agents for the commerce operating system.
• The role involves working closely with the CPTO and Head of AI Engineering in a small, high-impact team.
• Responsibilities include contributing to end-to-end AI/ML solutions, developing production-grade pipelines, applying various AI/ML techniques, building intelligent data products, supporting MLOps efforts, collaborating across teams, and staying informed about new tools and research.

Requirements:

• Candidates should have 5+ years of experience in applied ML/AI roles, preferably in product-focused environments or high-growth startups.
• Proven experience in building and deploying ML models for real-world applications such as recommendations, search, NLP, and categorization is required.
• Full-stack ML expertise is necessary, including data engineering, modeling, and MLOps.
• Strong programming skills in Spark, Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, MLFlow, Airflow, Docker, and Kubernetes are essential.
• Experience with knowledge graphs is a significant plus.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Econometrics/Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
• Candidates should have a passion for building usable, scalable products and be clear communicators with a collaborative mindset.
