Description:

  • The AI Engineer for Robotics will embed artificial intelligence into robotic systems to create intelligent, adaptive, and autonomous machines.
  • This role involves developing and implementing AI-driven solutions that push the boundaries of robotics innovation.
  • The engineer will work closely with software, hardware, and robotics teams to create algorithms for perception, navigation, manipulation, and autonomous behavior.
  • Key responsibilities include designing and implementing AI models for robotic systems, building perception and computer vision capabilities, and developing algorithms for autonomous navigation and path planning.
  • The engineer will implement reinforcement learning for adaptive behavior and optimize models for real-time performance on embedded systems.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams on system integration is essential to ensure seamless interaction between AI-driven behaviors and physical components.
  • The role also involves testing, validating, and fine-tuning AI systems through rigorous testing in simulation and real-world environments.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in machine learning and deep learning is required, with extensive experience in frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras, particularly for applications in robotics.
  • Strong knowledge of computer vision techniques, including object detection and segmentation, and experience with OpenCV or similar libraries is necessary.
  • Familiarity with reinforcement learning algorithms for training robots to adapt and improve autonomously is essential.
  • Proficiency in programming with Python for AI development and C++ for real-time deployment and integration with robotic systems is required.
  • Experience optimizing and deploying AI models on edge devices, such as NVIDIA Jetson or ARM, for real-time robotic applications is necessary.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field is required, with equivalent experience in AI and robotics considered.
  • Relevant certifications or coursework in machine learning, AI, or robotics are advantageous.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in AI or machine learning engineering, focusing on robotics or autonomous systems, is required.
  • Experience with robotic operating systems such as ROS and simulation environments like Gazebo is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with sensor data processing, including LIDAR and RGB-D cameras, and SLAM techniques is a plus.
