Remote AI Engineer, Prompt Engineering (Remote, Panama-Based)

Description:

• InVitro Capital is seeking an AI Engineer with a strong focus on Prompt Engineering to design, fine-tune, and optimize large language models (LLMs) and machine learning applications.
• The role involves developing innovative AI-driven solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and staying at the forefront of natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning advancements.
• Responsibilities include developing and fine-tuning LLMs for NLP applications, creating and optimizing machine learning models using libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn, and designing effective prompts that align with business needs.
• The engineer will collaborate with developers, data scientists, and product managers to design AI-driven solutions, perform comprehensive testing, and integrate NLP and machine learning models into business applications.
• The role also requires analyzing large datasets using tools like Hadoop and Spark, maintaining data pipelines, and mentoring junior team members.
• Working hours are Monday to Friday, following the Pacific Time Zone.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in machine learning, specifically in NLP and prompt engineering.
• Expertise in machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn is essential.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python and experience with data manipulation tools such as SQL and Pandas are required.
• Proven experience in fine-tuning and optimizing models using prompt engineering techniques is necessary.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in handling large datasets, are required.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban, and tools like Jira for project management is preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for effective teamwork.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment focused on AI-driven innovation is necessary.
• Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, experience with distributed computing frameworks like Spark, and familiarity with cloud-based machine learning platforms.
