Description:

  • webAI is seeking an experienced AI Framework Engineer to join their team in Grand Rapids, MI, or remotely.
  • The role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing an innovative AI framework for distributed and dynamic computing environments.
  • Responsibilities include building, documenting, optimizing, and maintaining AI framework software packages for model training and deployment.
  • The engineer will design and implement testing frameworks and methodologies via CI/CD to ensure framework reliability.
  • Collaboration with research, engineering, and product teams is essential to understand requirements and prioritize framework features.
  • Staying updated on the latest developments in machine learning algorithms and technologies is expected.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a related field is required.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related Engineering discipline is necessary.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and C++ (or Rust) are essential.
  • Experience in optimizing AI inference and training algorithms for hardware accelerators such as Apple Silicon, GPU, and TPU is required.
  • A deep understanding of AI algorithm architectures and frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch is necessary.
  • Experience in building, training, and deploying AI models in production environments is required.
  • Familiarity with common federated learning patterns and approaches is essential.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges related to distributed systems and performance optimization are necessary.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for deployment is required.
