Porter is seeking to add an AI & Machine Learning Engineer to their team in Houston, TX.
The ideal candidate will be a change agent, focused on revolutionizing healthcare delivery through innovative and empathetic solutions.
The role involves designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models using Amazon Bedrock and SageMaker.
Responsibilities include implementing and optimizing large language models (LLMs), developing prompt engineering techniques, and utilizing retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) for improved information processes.
The engineer will ensure governance and compliance of AI/ML models, including model auditability and ethical considerations.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate AI/ML solutions into products and services is essential.
The candidate will monitor and evaluate model performance, making adjustments to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Staying updated with the latest advancements in AI/ML technologies is crucial for applying them to ongoing projects.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Proven experience with Amazon Bedrock and SageMaker is essential.
A strong understanding of large language models (LLMs) and their applications is necessary.
Expertise in prompt engineering and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) is required.
Knowledge of AI/ML governance and model auditability practices is important.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R is needed.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are mandatory.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities are essential for this role.
Experience with other AI/ML platforms and tools, such as DataBricks, Salesforce Agentforce, or Einstein, is a plus.
Experience in healthcare and healthcare data is also a plus.
