Remote AI & Machine Learning Engineer (Remote - India)

Description:

• Join North America’s largest live selling and video commerce platform as an AI & Machine Learning Engineer specializing in computer vision.
• Work remotely from India while collaborating with a team of software engineers, cloud platform engineers, and data experts on consumer-facing live-selling platforms and apps.
• Develop and maintain code that utilizes computer vision, natural language processing, and machine learning algorithms to solve business problems.
• Analyze video, images, and large text corpora using machine learning concepts and deep learning architectures.
• Review and train machine learning models, evaluating their performance for continuous improvement.
• Create product similarity and recommender routines, integrating them as in-app features.
• Apply natural language processing techniques for sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, and text summarization.
• Orchestrate computer vision tasks including image classification, object detection, image segmentation, and facial expression detection.
• Deploy machine learning models to production environments and demonstrate proficiency in version control systems.
• Utilize image and video generation to support business processes for partners and their end-customers.
• Stay updated with the latest advances in AI and machine learning while gaining a deep understanding of the product.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in Data Science or Machine Learning is required.
• Strong programming skills in Python are essential and will be tested during the interview process.
• Ability to solve issues pragmatically without adding technical debt is necessary.
• Demonstrated skills in designing, building, and evaluating predictive models and AI algorithms are required, along with a deep understanding of the current AI landscape.
• A passion for understanding and solving business stakeholders’ problems in innovative ways is important.
• Proficiency with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) for deploying cloud solutions and APIs is required.
• Proven expertise in computer vision and natural language processing is essential and will be assessed during the interview.
• Comfort in a fast-paced, pragmatic work environment is necessary.
• A strong understanding of core computer science principles and standard CI/CD practices is required.
• Experience with e-commerce and/or live-selling platforms is a strong plus.
• Ability to work well in a remote, collaborative team environment and communicate effectively in problem-solving is essential.
• A mindset towards high-quality output and attention to detail, along with the ability to provide and receive feedback in code reviews, is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, curiosity about new approaches, and a desire to stay updated with the latest in AI and machine learning are necessary.
• Experience in Machine Learning Ops is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required; native or advanced proficiency is preferred.
• Must be able to work at least 4 hours overlapping with North American time zones, specifically until 3 PM EST for team interactions.
