The AI Software Engineer (Tech Lead) position can be based out of San Francisco, New York, or remote, accepting candidates from many states.
The role involves leading the architecture, development, and operations of AI/ML infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration of state-of-the-art models into production environments.
Responsibilities include collaborating with AI Product Researchers to develop and deploy scalable machine learning models, focusing on automating and optimizing the ML Software Development Lifecycle (ML SDLC).
The position requires a blend of technical excellence, AI/ML operations experience, and leadership capabilities to guide cross-functional teams through modern AI model deployment challenges.
Key responsibilities include managing the end-to-end AI/ML lifecycle, collaborating with researchers, architecting AI/ML Ops frameworks, building scalable systems, driving innovation in AI model deployment, and providing cross-functional leadership.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 10+ years of experience in AI engineering or machine learning infrastructure, with significant experience in leading end-to-end AI model development and deployment in production environments.
Expertise in AI/ML Ops and ML SDLC is required, including strong experience with modern MLOps frameworks and practices, automated model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
Proven ability to work closely with AI Product Researchers to transform research into scalable AI solutions is essential, along with experience in building tools that streamline the transition from research to deployment.
Candidates should have deep expertise in modern AI architectures, particularly in LLMs, transformers, and recommendation systems, with hands-on experience using frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow.
Leadership experience in managing engineering teams and driving AI strategy at the enterprise level is necessary, along with strong coding and automation skills in Python and ML frameworks.
Excellent communication skills are required to collaborate with various stakeholders and mentor technical teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
