The company believes AI should assist artists, allowing musicians to focus on making music instead of technical processes.
The AI/ML Engineer will design, build, and optimize machine learning models for music analysis, gestural recognition, and intelligent discovery features.
Responsibilities include developing new architectures, training models, optimizing inference performance, and deploying AI-driven experiences for real-time music creation and discovery.
The role involves working with vector models, LoRA-fied RAG models, multimodal AI, and gestural recognition technologies.
This is a hands-on engineering role requiring strong coding skills and the ability to write production-quality ML code.
The engineer will collaborate closely with Tamber’s engineering and product teams to develop AI models that transform how musicians create and interact with music.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 3+ years of hands-on experience developing machine learning models for production.
Strong Python skills are required, including experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
Experience with vector models and LoRA-fied RAG models for efficient retrieval and processing is necessary.
Expertise in audio files, MIDI processing, and signal processing techniques is essential.
Familiarity with gestural recognition, hand tracking, and face identification models is required.
Experience with multimodal AI models that integrate text, audio, and vision is needed.
Strong engineering fundamentals are necessary, including the ability to write production-grade ML code and work with Git.
Candidates should be able to work independently and manage complex AI features from research to production deployment.
A deep passion for music and technology, along with an understanding of music structure, DAWs, or composition, is important.
Benefits:
Employees will be part of a mission-driven team redefining music production and discovery, with their work directly impacting how artists create.
As an early hire, employees will have the opportunity to shape Tamber’s AI architecture and influence major technical decisions.
The position offers competitive compensation with a salary range of $180,000-$190,000, based on experience and impact.
