Description:

We are seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer to join a dynamic team supporting the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s (USPTO) Emerging and Innovation (E&I) initiatives.
This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact federal technology programs, helping modernize patent and trademark operations through artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cloud innovation.

Requirements:

A minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, and/or AI solution development is required.
Experience supporting federal or public-sector projects is required.
Proficiency with Python, R, or similar tools for data analysis and model building is required.
Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) is required.
Ability to work in a collaborative, Agile environment and communicate technical findings clearly is required.
Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow) is preferred.
Exposure to UX/CX research and human-centered design methods is preferred.
Understanding of federal cybersecurity frameworks and requirements (FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and FISMA) is preferred.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
U.S. citizenship is required as it supports the U.S. federal government.
