The role involves working hands-on within a remote mobile development team, responsible for designing and building advanced app features and components for the Android platform.
The developer will implement Object-Oriented and functional programming design principles to independently craft project solutions.
Collaboration with a team of talented Android developers is essential to create amazing native apps.
The position requires close work with product management and UX to execute ideas from concept to delivery using excellent software design, coding, and processes.
Continuous discovery, evaluation, and implementation of new technologies to maximize development efficiency is expected.
Troubleshooting issues with minimal guidance, identifying bottlenecks in existing workflows, and providing solutions for a scalable, bug-free application are key responsibilities.
Participation in testing and code documentation activities is required.
The developer will engage in peer code reviews, pair programming, and technical review of architectural proposals.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
A minimum of 2 years of native Android development experience is necessary.
Candidates must have published one or more Android apps in the App Store.
Experience in building Android applications using Kotlin is essential.
Knowledge of offline storage, threading, and performance tuning is required.
Excellent debugging skills to solve challenging problems are necessary.
Candidates should have knowledge of integrating with RESTful APIs.
Familiarity with version control using Git is required.
Knowledge of open source libraries and dependency management tools is necessary.
Understanding of Android design principles and interface guidelines is essential.
Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications is required.
