Description:

  • PayPay is seeking an Android Engineer to enhance their payment product and provide an exceptional payment experience for Japanese customers.
  • The team aims to grow the finance mobile service as the primary touchpoint for users.
  • The engineer will actively explore new technologies to improve app convenience.
  • Responsibilities include working closely with the product team to customize the payment experience, prototyping new and redesigning features, focusing on UI/UX design principles, and collaborating with a dedicated team of app developers.
  • The tech stack includes Kotlin, Simple Stack, RxJava, Koin, Picasso, CardIO, Moshi, Okhttp, Mapbox, Lottie, Github, Android Studio, Firebase, AppsFlyer, Figma, Slack, and Zoom.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have a deep understanding of modern mobile development and be strong in Object Oriented design and Kotlin.
  • A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in Android development is required.
  • Applicants should demonstrate a strong passion for code quality and familiarity with the integration of Rest API.
  • A strong sense of ownership and at least one mobile app to showcase during the interview is necessary.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Bitrise), the ability to develop features while conducting unit tests, knowledge of performance optimization, and familiarity with Agile development.
  • Candidates should also be able to communicate in English with product members and other development teams.
