Remote Android Engineer

Description:

• The Android Engineer position at Warner Music Group involves owning and defining the technical vision for key technical systems, creating technical design documents, writing clean and reusable code, and ensuring work is delivered following established standards and best practices.
• Responsibilities include handling software updates, patches, testing, and bug fixes, mentoring junior mobile engineers, collaborating with designers, developers, and product managers, and presenting advancements in Android applications development.
• The role also involves collaborating closely with key music industry stakeholders in the US and Canada.

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate should have at least 4 years of experience as an Android engineer, with a focus on building lightweight, fast-loading, and high-performing apps.
• Proficiency in Kotlin, experience with animation frameworks and UI design, and understanding of Google’s design principles and interface guidelines are required.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs for connecting Android applications to back-end services is necessary.
• Strong collaboration skills, ability to write comprehensive technical designs, improve code quality, and make design tradeoff decisions are essential.
• A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
