Description:

  • The Growth Android Engineer at onX will be responsible for designing, building, and running experiments related to user onboarding, purchasing, and activating users in the products.
  • The role involves using data and user behavior analysis to make decisions that impact quarterly metrics by increasing the win rate and size of experiments.
  • Focus on experiments related to subscription purchasing, including testing different offer types and purchase screen user interfaces.
  • Growth engineers have ownership and autonomy to create, develop, and analyze the outcome of their work to achieve team and company objectives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of professional software development experience, with at least two (2) years focused on Android development.
  • Experience with REST, Graphql, and/or gRPC.
  • Understanding of best practices and architectural patterns such as MVVM.
  • Proficiency in GIT, particularly rebasing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Curiosity around user behavior and data analysis to inform and improve experiment ideas.
  • Strong computer science foundation.
  • Advocate for the customer experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Desire to mentor junior engineers and be mentored by senior engineers.
  • Ability to write quality code, review pull requests promptly, and maintain 3rd party library integrations.
