GameChanger is a remote-first tech company based in New York City focused on enhancing youth sports experiences.
The Android Software Engineer will be part of a product team dedicated to community engagement and insights for young athletes.
The role involves developing features for the native Android application and contributing to the overall stack.
Responsibilities include leading feature development, collaborating with designers and product managers, mentoring team members, and promoting responsible engineering practices.
The engineer will report to a Product Engineering Manager and work closely with a cross-functional team.

Requirements:

A solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals is required.
Experience leading successful Android projects and shipping high-quality apps is essential.
Participation in design and code reviews to ensure best practices is expected.
Candidates should have a passion for and experience with the latest Android technologies.
Comfort in working within a cross-functional product team is necessary.
Experience mentoring engineers and organizing team work is preferred.
Familiarity with Kotlin, reactive MVVM architecture, and Jetpack lifecycle components is important.
Background in iOS development with Swift is a bonus but not required.
Understanding of backend technologies such as TypeScript, Node.js, Redis, Kafka, and PostgreSQL is a plus.
