Remote API Developer - TS/SCI Clearance Required

Description:

• cFocus Software is seeking an API Developer to support Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
• This position is remote and requires an active TS/SCI clearance.
• Responsibilities include documenting functional specifications for the Fleet H.O.M.E. APIs, product information, and operational procedures.
• The developer will evaluate and select enterprise application development and integration technologies to support data ingestion from external sources.
• Conducting functional, regression, and load testing for API technologies is part of the role.
• The developer will work with the ITPM and Fleet H.O.M.E. IT Support personnel to shape an API design and deployment roadmap.
• Responsibilities also include devising and reporting on API integration development plans and strategies.
• The role involves API design strategies using GEOCODE data associated with Telematics.
• The developer will develop asynchronous messaging architectures, rule-based systems, and network architectures.
• Coordinating activities with other developers to ensure timely completion of API integration projects is essential.
• The developer will formulate strategies and design architectures for systems integrations.
• Ensuring best practices in integration processes are followed by the organization is a key responsibility.
• The developer will check and correct conflicts in data configurations and overlaps.
• Maintaining the integrity and smooth functioning of the company's integration architecture is crucial.
• The role includes analyzing and improving current system integrations and migration strategies.
• Identifying, debugging, and advising on system errors or architecture issues is part of the job.
• Assisting with the management of organizational databases and retrieval systems is also required.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
• An active TS/SCI clearance is mandatory for this position.
• The candidate must have 3-5 years of experience with REST-based APIs.
• The candidate should have 3-5 years of experience with HTTP and SOAP protocols.
• The candidate must possess 3-5 years of experience with REST and Rest Oriented Architecture (ROA).
• The candidate should have 3-5 years of experience with JAVA, JavaScript, Python, or .NET development.
• The candidate must be a problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills, are required.
• Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks are essential.
