Description:
The position is for a Web Developer with experience in PHP, JavaScript, JQuery, and WordPress.
The role involves working on UpdraftCentral, a platform designed to empower WordPress site owners.
The developer will collaborate with a small, global team to develop and test the next iteration of UpdraftCentral.
Daily responsibilities include implementing new features, fixing bugs, and improving the codebase.
The developer will write clean, efficient, and secure code using JavaScript, PHP, and WordPress libraries.
Inline documentation for the code must be written, along with testing guides.
The role requires managing one's own time to fulfill tasks and researching/debugging problems independently or in collaboration with other developers and the support team.

Requirements:
Candidates must have experience with JavaScript and JQuery, as they are essential for UpdraftCentral.
Strong skills in PHP are required, as it is the core language of WordPress.

Familiarity with GitHub, GitLab, or Git is preferred but not mandatory, as it can be learned quickly by developers experienced with alternatives like SVN.
Experience in prefetching data and optimizing plugin performance would be a plus.
