Description:
The Application Architect position is a remote, full-time role aimed at experienced professionals.
The primary responsibility is to align application systems with organizational goals and technology strategy.
The role involves mentoring and guiding development teams, promoting innovation and best practices.
The architect will design, implement, and evolve new systems while enhancing existing ones.
Close collaboration with stakeholders is essential to gather requirements and ensure project success.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, and debugging web applications to ensure their efficiency and reliability.
The architect will support third-party integration and conduct architectural reviews and planning.
Staying updated on industry trends, evaluating new technologies, and optimizing application performance is crucial.
The role includes assisting with production support and undertaking special projects as needed.
Monitoring, reviewing, and auditing the performance of the customer-agency’s replacement software to make performance improvements is required.
Providing technical knowledge transfer, training, documentation, mentorship, and guidance to OTS, Customer-Agency, and all project-related staff is part of the job.
The architect will perform all other tasks, special projects, analysis, studies, and plans as directed.
Requirements:
A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in designing and implementing enterprise-class .NET applications is mandatory.
At least 3 years of relevant experience in designing and implementing CI/CD processes for automated build, test, and deployment using DevOps practices is required.
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience leading a team of software developers through the design, development, testing, debugging, documentation, and implementation of an application.
Experience with monitoring/observability platforms and instrumenting applications to trace transactions and provide timely alerts around issues is necessary.
Desirable but not mandatory qualifications include experience in designing and implementing high transaction volume distributed systems.
Architect-level certifications in one or more technical disciplines such as Windows, Linux, Cloud, Networking, Security, or DevOps are preferred.
Prior experience working with the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles is also desirable.
