Description:
VivSoft is seeking a highly skilled Application Developer Senior / Information Security Analyst to support IT sustainment, cybersecurity, and risk management functions within a secure government environment.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in application development, cybersecurity frameworks, and IT systems management, ensuring compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) security standards.
Responsibilities include installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting various enterprise software applications.
The role involves implementing and managing firewall rules, network components, and security configurations.
Conducting security assessments, vulnerability scans, and remediation activities in compliance with DoD security standards is essential.
The candidate will support and enhance mission-critical Oracle databases and web applications.
Developing, testing, and maintaining Java-based applications and other development toolsets is required.
Performing Risk Management Framework (RMF) assessments, documentation, and security controls implementation is part of the job.
Utilizing cybersecurity tools such as eMASS, ArcSight, Splunk, CyberSwat, and ACAS scans for security monitoring is necessary.
The role includes developing and maintaining scripts for automation, system monitoring, and data extraction.
Ensuring compliance with Section 508 accessibility requirements and performing validation using Axe monitoring tools is expected.
Providing guidance, technical support, and training to application users is also a key responsibility.
Requirements:
The candidate must have DoD Secret clearance.
DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security) is required upon assignment.
An Acceptable Computing Environment certification is required upon assignment.
A minimum of five (5) years of progressive IT experience with expertise in multiple IT disciplines is necessary.
The candidate must have a minimum of four (4) years of hands-on experience in software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
A minimum of two (2) years working with IA Controls (DoDI 8500.2 or NIST SP 800-53) and RMF principles is required.
Proficiency in Java, C#, HTML/JavaScript, and Linux Shell scripting is essential.
Experience with Oracle WebLogic Application Server, Oracle BI Platform, and Oracle Application Security Development STIG is necessary.
Familiarity with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) on virtual servers is required.
Knowledge of data visualization tools (Qlik, SAS) and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) activities is necessary.
Experience with WebInspect scans, POA&M processes, and application log auditing using ArcSight or Splunk is required.
Proficiency in development tools such as JDeveloper, SQL Developer, TOAD, and Eclipse Client is essential.
Familiarity with design tools such as Visio is required.
Experience in patching/updating software and application security management is necessary.
