Remote Application Developer (SQL, R, Python/Tkinter) (Part-time, Remote)

• The company is seeking an intermediate-level Application Developer to support and enhance their statistical application.
• This part-time role (up to 20 hours per week) involves maintaining the SQL database, integrating new features, and optimizing performance for seamless data flow between the backend and frontend.
• Responsibilities include maintaining and troubleshooting the SQL database, developing new features in SQL and R, setting up tables for data flows, optimizing SQL queries and R code, collaborating with the IT team, testing new code, documenting work, and providing troubleshooting support.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
• Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in development, specifically in SQL database management, R scripting, and Python (Tkinter) for frontend connections.
• Proficiency with SQL Server Management Studio for database management, troubleshooting, and performance tuning is necessary.
• A strong understanding of database optimization techniques and best practices for data flow and code efficiency is required.
• Experience in creating and managing standardized data export templates is essential.
• The ability to work collaboratively with an IT team for server support and with the Statistical team for application features is needed.
• Strong documentation skills, including experience in writing technical manuals, diagrams, or code documentation, are required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on a part-time basis are necessary.
• Software development experience is preferred.
