Description:

phia is seeking an Application Security Engineer to collaborate with a Federal client and their key stakeholders in maintaining a robust security posture.
This remote position offers the flexibility to work from home anywhere within the United States.
U.S. citizenship is required with the ability to obtain public trust status.
As a member of the Application Security Team, you will tackle complex security challenges and develop innovative solutions, while having a meaningful impact on national security.
Responsibilities include remediating application security flaws, leading security discussions with application teams, performing dynamic and static application performance testing, creating security requirements, and leveraging tools such as SD elements and Burp Suite.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or a related field is required; additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
A minimum of 3 years of experience with Java, Python, .NET, or C# is required.
At least 3 years of experience in the design and implementation of enterprise-wide security controls to secure applications, systems, networks, or infrastructure services is necessary.
Experience with Eclipse, Visual Studio, or JDeveloper, including pipeline development, is required.
Experience with setting up SAML authentication is necessary.
The ability to write Amazon CloudFormation Templates (CFT) is required.
The ability to manage MySQL databases is necessary.
The ability to troubleshoot Linux Nftables and IPTables at the command line is required.
