Description:

Filevine is seeking an Application Security Engineer to join their Information Security team.
The role involves ensuring that the platform, applications, and infrastructure are compliant and secured at the highest levels to protect and enhance customer trust.
Responsibilities include reviewing code for security vulnerabilities, maintaining accurate library dependency trees, and supporting penetration testing efforts.
The engineer will provide primary support for bug bounty efforts, investigate application security incidents, and lead the vulnerability management program.
The position requires identifying vulnerable libraries and code components, developing best practices for product and platform security, and staying updated on application security trends.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 4+ years of experience in information technology/security with an emphasis on application security.
A BS/MS degree in a technical field such as information security or computer science is preferred.
Experience with scripting and development languages like JavaScript, Python, and C++ is required.
Automation skills and a strong history in advising and executing red-teaming exercises are essential.
Familiarity with web application security best practices and significant experience with SIEM and logging technologies is necessary.
Knowledge of Threat Hunting practices and experience with SDLC processes, SAST, and DAST scanning tools is required.
Candidates should have experience with hardening web services, configuring WAF solutions, and cloud infrastructure security (AWS, GCP, Azure).
A working knowledge of security requirements for SOC 2 Type I & II, HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA, and CJIS is important.
Strong project management experience and a strong curiosity, initiative, and willingness to experiment are essential.
