Description:

Easy Dynamics is seeking an Application Security Engineer to provide application security expertise and support for the agency’s digital assets, including the public-facing website and internal software tools.
The role involves working with the Application Development Team to implement security remediations for web products and collaborating with Cyber Security and Systems Engineering teams to ensure compliance and best practices in an AWS FISMA moderate environment.
Responsibilities include configuring and operating CI/CD pipelines, incorporating security into the build process, and using application security monitoring tools to maintain the agency’s website and software tools.
The engineer will assist in building a strong technical foundation using continuous integration tools, engage with agency personnel to understand requirements, and provide training on security methodologies and tools.
Additional tasks include developing Use Cases, Requirements Definition Documents, User and Administration Manuals, Detailed Design Specifications, and Training Manuals and Plans.

Requirements:

U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is necessary.
Candidates must have at least 5 years of demonstrated experience in configuring, operating, maintaining, and monitoring various application security tools and services.
Experience with vulnerability scanning tools to identify and resolve security vulnerabilities is essential.
Expertise in integrating security testing into automated continuous delivery pipelines (Jenkins/Travis/Ansible) is required.
Familiarity with a modern web development stack and toolchain is necessary.
Experience with open source and community solutions is preferred.
Candidates should have experience in FedRamp IaaS/SaaS and with monitoring software dependencies, including automating the creation of a software bill of materials (SBOM).
The ability to collaborate, champion, and mentor software development teams and stakeholders on secure software development, delivery, and operations is essential.

The salary range for this position is between $110,000 and $130,000.
