Description:
The Applications Software Developer - SME will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality applications that meet client and end-user needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and develop software applications aligned with business objectives.
Lead the design and architecture of complex software systems to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure quality and reliability.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends for integration into the development process.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers to foster continuous learning and growth.
Participate in code reviews, team meetings, and project planning sessions for effective collaboration and communication.
Requirements:
Minimum 7-10 years of software development experience, focusing on application development.
Proficiency in multiple programming languages like Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.
Experience with Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) such as Eclipse.
Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and software development practices.
Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and principles.
Track record of delivering high-quality, scalable software solutions within deadlines and budget.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is advantageous.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Must be a US Citizen and hold an Active Public Trust/MBI clearance or have the ability to obtain one.
Benefits:
Competitive pay range of $150,000 to $165,000 yearly based on skills, experience, and location.
