Description:

• The Applications Software Developer - SME will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality applications that meet client and end-user needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and develop software applications aligned with business objectives.
• Lead the design and architecture of complex software systems to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure quality and reliability.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends for integration into the development process.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers to foster continuous learning and growth.
• Participate in code reviews, team meetings, and project planning sessions for effective collaboration and communication.

Requirements:

• Minimum 7-10 years of software development experience, focusing on application development.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages like Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) such as Eclipse.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and software development practices.
• Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and principles.
• Track record of delivering high-quality, scalable software solutions within deadlines and budget.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is advantageous.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Must be a US Citizen and hold an Active Public Trust/MBI clearance or have the ability to obtain one.
