Description:
The Applied AI Engineer (Core) position is a full-time role based in New York City, with remote work options available for candidates located in the USA.
The role involves optimizing deep learning models for deployment using frameworks such as Pytorch, ONNX, and TensorRT.
Responsibilities include developing and implementing techniques for model quantization and compression to reduce memory footprint and increase inference speed.
The engineer will also develop techniques for model obfuscation and secure deployments.
Collaboration with AI researchers and developers is essential to integrate advanced performance optimization techniques into production systems.
The engineer will analyze and improve existing model architectures for better efficiency and performance.

Requirements:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have experience implementing modern deep learning architectures, including transformers and CNNs.
Experience in compiling model inference code for deployment is necessary.
Strong software development skills are essential for this role.
Familiarity with machine (deep) learning frameworks such as PyTorch, ONNX, and TensorRT is required.
A minimum of 2 years of industry experience in preparing ML models for production is expected.
