The software reduces time to permit, supporting permitting end-to-end including permit research, application preparation, submission, and monitoring.
The company has raised a $31m Series A led by Kleiner Perkins with participation from Initialized Capital, Y Combinator, Felicis Ventures, Altos Ventures, and notable founders and executives from various companies.
The engineering team is lean but mighty, aiming for fast-paced growth and looking for new members to contribute to this growth.
As an Applied AI Engineer, you will work alongside the CTO and engineering team to develop the first construction permit application and management platform for builders.
You will develop and deploy AI-driven solutions to optimize and automate permitting workflows, working with large-scale data and building intelligent systems.
Responsibilities include developing, training, and deploying AI/ML models, working with structured and unstructured data, building scalable AI-powered APIs, optimizing AI inference pipelines, collaborating with teams, staying updated with AI advancements, and ensuring compliance with AI ethics and privacy guidelines.

Requirements:

You must have 3+ years of experience (post-BS/MS) in an engineering role.
Experience in shipping a scaled and impactful product powered by machine learning is required, including knowledge of using offline datasets, online experiments, and recent research to build high-performance systems.
A track record of shipping reliable products and a strong attention to detail is essential.
You should have experience building backend platforms that can support multiple product lines.
Grit and experience working at early-stage startups is a plus.
