Description:

  • The Associate Cloud Operations Engineer will assist in setting up and maintaining AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and VPC.
  • The role involves performing basic monitoring of cloud resources using tools like AWS CloudWatch and supporting cloud backup and disaster recovery processes.
  • Participation in initial incident response for issues in the AWS environment is required, along with escalating complex issues to senior engineers.
  • The engineer will help document cloud setups and configurations and prepare reports on cloud resource utilization and incident logs.
  • Responsibilities include assisting in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux servers, monitoring system performance, and applying basic security patches and updates under supervision.
  • The role involves managing user accounts and access rights on Linux systems and supporting backup operations and recovery drills.
  • The engineer will assist in deploying and managing web applications on Linux servers, performing basic monitoring of web application performance and uptime, and supporting the updating and patching of web applications.
  • Collaboration with development teams to understand application requirements and assist in deployment strategies is also part of the job.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should have a total of 1-3 years of experience and a basic understanding of AWS cloud services, Linux system administration, and web application architecture.
  • The position requires working US hours, either from 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM or 12:30 AM to 9:30 AM IST, with weekly off days being either Friday-Saturday or Sunday-Monday.
  • Strong problem-solving skills are necessary to identify and solve entry-level technical issues.
  • Effective communication skills are required for working with team members and documenting processes.
  • Candidates should demonstrate eagerness to learn and grow in the fields of cloud operations, Linux administration, and web application management.
  • Attention to detail is crucial for monitoring systems and reporting issues.
