Remote Associate Data Engineer

Description:

• Kin is seeking an Associate Data Engineer to ensure the quality, integrity, and security of its data assets.
• The role involves building out a data lakehouse for enterprise reporting, developing data pipelines, debugging existing pipelines, and ensuring data quality.
• Daily responsibilities include working on cross-functional project teams with members from AppEng, DataEng, BI, and business stakeholders to design effective reporting solutions.
• The position requires establishing trust with stakeholders, defining technical requirements, and ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Responsibilities also include building new source system ingestion pipelines, enhancing data pipelines with CI/CD practices, maintaining a centralized metadata catalog, and monitoring pipeline performance.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 1+ years of experience in data engineering, data integration, or data modeling.
• A minimum of 1+ years of experience with databases such as AWS Redshift, MySQL, Postgres, or SQL Server is required.
• Familiarity with data pipeline tools and platforms such as dbt, Databricks, FiveTran, and AWS is necessary.
• Proficiency in languages such as SQL, Python, and/or Java is expected.
• Previous experience with lakehouse architecture is preferred.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential for engaging with stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
