Description:
Kin is seeking an Associate Data Engineer to ensure the quality, integrity, and security of its data assets.
The role involves building out a data lakehouse for enterprise reporting, developing data pipelines, debugging existing pipelines, and ensuring data quality.
Daily responsibilities include working on cross-functional project teams with members from AppEng, DataEng, BI, and business stakeholders to design effective reporting solutions.
The position requires establishing trust with stakeholders, defining technical requirements, and ensuring alignment with business goals.
Responsibilities also include building new source system ingestion pipelines, enhancing data pipelines with CI/CD practices, maintaining a centralized metadata catalog, and monitoring pipeline performance.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 1+ years of experience in data engineering, data integration, or data modeling.
A minimum of 1+ years of experience with databases such as AWS Redshift, MySQL, Postgres, or SQL Server is required.
Familiarity with data pipeline tools and platforms such as dbt, Databricks, FiveTran, and AWS is necessary.
Proficiency in languages such as SQL, Python, and/or Java is expected.
Previous experience with lakehouse architecture is preferred.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential for engaging with stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
