Description:
PointClickCare is a leading North American healthcare technology platform focused on enabling meaningful care collaboration and real-time patient insights.
The Associate Data Scientist position is primarily aimed at analysis and reporting for the internal Product department.
This role involves using real-time and historical healthcare data to investigate new product opportunities and assess the health and user behavior of current products.
Key responsibilities include extracting data to build metrics, creating/updating Tableau dashboards, sharing insights with customers, analyzing data to prioritize focus areas, consulting on new dashboards and metrics, responding to ad hoc analytic requests, and ensuring the quality of deliverables through peer review.
The role requires collaboration with various teams including Product, Customer Success, Clinical Solutions, Sales, Marketing, and Professional Services.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in data science, analytics, mathematics, statistics, public health, economics, social science, or actuarial science is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
Candidates should have 2-4 years of experience related to analytics work or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.
Proficiency in data manipulation tools such as Python, data visualization tools like Tableau, and data extraction via SQL is necessary.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required.
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and work with minimal supervision.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong analysis skills, and attention to detail are essential.
Experience with cleaning, aggregating, and pre-processing data from varied sources, as well as creating complex SQL queries, is required.
Benefits:
The base salary for this position ranges from $91,000 to $98,000, plus bonuses and benefits.
The total rewards package includes various components beyond base salary, which are determined by job-related skills, knowledge, relevant experience, and work location.
