Description:
The Associate Principal Engineer will be responsible for understanding the client's business use cases and technical requirements, converting them into technical designs, and mapping decisions with requirements.
They will need to identify different solutions, define guidelines for non-functional requirements, and review architecture and design aspects to ensure best practices are followed.
The role involves writing and reviewing design documents, developing overall solutions for functional and non-functional requirements, and applying technology integration scenarios in projects.
The engineer will also mentor team members, empower them to provide solutions, and create a collaborative work environment.
Requirements:
The candidate should have at least 10 years of experience and strong expertise in Vantage Mainframe and Vantage programming languages.
Proficiency in mainframe architecture, components, and tools is required, along with experience in mainframe databases like DB2 and IMS.
Familiarity with software development lifecycle methodologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and attention to detail are essential.
Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are necessary.
Knowledge of version control systems like Git or SVN is a plus, and familiarity with Agile development practices is advantageous.
Understanding of Japanese customs and business meeting rules is preferred.
The candidate should be proficient in communicating technology solutions that align with business objectives, have analytical and critical thinking skills, and be able to manage partnerships effectively.
Ability to explore and adapt to new technologies is required.
