Description:

Intrepid Studios is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join their Cloud Services team.
This role is ideal for motivated developers with experience in Python and C++ who are interested in cloud-native infrastructure, automation, and game backend services.
The position provides an opportunity to learn Golang and gain hands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s), GKE/EKS, Helm, Minikube, and more.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining cloud infrastructure, automating workflows, building cloud services, integrating these services with Unreal Engine 5 (UE5), managing deployment and infrastructure, supporting build and testing pipelines, monitoring performance, and collaborating across teams.

Requirements:

Candidates must have an AS/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Proficiency in C++ and Python is required.
Experience with cloud technologies or a strong desire to learn about Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform is necessary.
An interest in learning Golang for cloud service development is expected.
A strong problem-solving mindset is essential, with the ability to automate tasks and improve workflows.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
A passion for gaming and technology, particularly in game development and cloud infrastructure, is important.
Extra awesome qualifications include hands-on experience with Kubernetes (GKE/EKS, Minikube), Helm, or Terraform, experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines, and familiarity with UE5.

The position offers competitive pay based on market standards, with a base salary range of $80,000 - $112,000, depending on skills and experience.
A significant annual bonus structure is included.
