Description:

  • The Associate Software Engineer, DevOps position is a remote role based in Bangalore or Pune, India.
  • The role involves building tools, infrastructure, and services for a secure, high-scalable, and cost-effective AWS/Kubernetes-based cloud platform.
  • Responsibilities include supporting Legion’s public cloud platform, developing infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible, Argo, Jenkins, and Golang, and managing production alerts.
  • The engineer will respond to alerts, conduct root-cause investigations, and develop automation for operational runbooks.
  • The position requires support for the deployment of Legion’s WFM solution during and outside regular office hours and participation in an on-call rotation.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 2+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or other SaaS operations.
  • A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience managing AWS services and cloud infrastructure using Terraform is required, with AWS Certification preferred.
  • Experience with containerized cloud solutions using Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS EKS, and familiarity with Helm charts is necessary.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Go, Python, Bash, or Perl for at least 2 years is required.
  • Candidates should have 2+ years of experience with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.), CI/CD pipelines (GIT, Jenkins, etc.), and configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, etc.).
  • Experience with observability tools like Datadog, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, Nagios, Elasticsearch, Kibana, CloudWatch, and Logstash for at least 2 years is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix platforms such as RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu, or Amazon Linux is required.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is necessary.
