Description:
Tenstorrent is seeking an experienced SoC performance architect for automotive SoC developments.
The role involves driving the hardware architecture specification for Tenstorrent automotive ML chiplets.
Responsibilities include writing detailed specifications for automotive ML chiplets/SoCs and presenting the architecture to internal stakeholders and customers.
The architect will propose new features that enhance performance, power, and area (PPA).
Ensuring that devices meet reliability and safety requirements for automotive products is essential.
The role requires gathering and tracking requirements and features to drive them to successful completion.
Developing performance use-cases and collaborating with modeling teams to understand bottlenecks is part of the job.
Close collaboration with implementation teams to provide architectural guidance throughout the project is expected.
This position is remote and based in the United States.
Candidates of various experience levels are welcome, and offers will align with the assessed level during the interview process.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required; a Ph.D. is a plus.
A solid understanding of ML accelerator architectures and trade-offs is necessary.
Knowledge of ML accelerator design trade-offs affecting memory bandwidth and compute needs is required.
A high-level understanding of networks for LLM, Vision, and point cloud data is essential.
Understanding the differences between GPU versus custom ML accelerators is important.
A high-level understanding of ML frameworks and the underlying software stack is required.
A solid understanding of computer architecture, interconnects, and memory system behavior is necessary.
Experience with functional safety/ISO26262 is a strong plus.
Experience with AEC-Q100/104 and automotive device reliability is also a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex system-level issues are required.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams are essential.
