Description:

  • Delaware Nation Industries/Indigenous Technologies is seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to provide cloud infrastructure and server administration support to the Propulsion Integration Division (AFLCMC/LPZ) at Tinker AFB, OK.
  • The Cloud Engineer will work closely under the Technical Lead to sustain, secure, and optimize cloud-based environments (AWS) that enable critical Air Force mission operations.
  • This position is 100% remote.
  • The role involves performing server administration of production, development, and test environments hosted within Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • The Cloud Engineer will support the sustainment and optimization of CEMS cloud development environments.
  • Responsibilities include analyzing system requirements and securely integrating CEMS components to achieve and maintain Authority to Operate (ATO).
  • The engineer will assess and recommend computing, networking, and security configurations for the CEMS cloud infrastructure.
  • Support will be provided for the implementation and/or replacement of the CEMS Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) solution within a government-approved cloud environment.
  • The role requires configuring and leveraging AWS cloud-native services for infrastructure provisioning and resource management.
  • Collaboration with the Information Assurance (IA)/Cyber Security team is necessary to support compliance activities, including Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Plan of Actions & Milestones (POA&Ms), vulnerability management, remediation, and mitigation.
  • The engineer will conduct system performance tuning, patching, and updates in alignment with Air Force cybersecurity requirements.
  • Recommendations will be provided to improve cloud infrastructure security, performance, and cost optimization.
  • The engineer must ensure continuous system availability, reliability, and maintainability to meet or exceed 99% system uptime requirements.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field is required.
  • Candidates must have 3-5 years of experience in cloud engineering or systems administration roles.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure and services is essential.
  • A strong understanding of cloud architecture, security principles, and system integration is required.
  • Familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM/ICAM) concepts is necessary.
  • Experience in system hardening and compliance with DoD STIGs and cybersecurity best practices is required.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure provisioning using cloud-native tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, and AWS CLI is essential.
  • Candidates must have experience with vulnerability management, patching, and system remediation activities.
  • The ability to obtain a security clearance is required.
  • A Security+ Certification is required.
