Remote AWS Cloud Systems Engineer

Description:

• LightFeather is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Systems Engineer to join their IT team and contribute to the development and maintenance of cloud infrastructure.
• The role involves designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS.
• Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business applications, optimize cloud performance, and drive automation across the infrastructure.
• The position is full-time and remote.

Requirements:

• Candidates must be US citizens and possess or be able to obtain a Secret/Top Secret clearance.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and solutions is necessary.
• Proficiency in designing and managing cloud infrastructure using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible is required.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell are essential.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline is needed.
• In-depth knowledge of networking concepts, including VPC, DNS, VPN, and load balancers is required.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Splunk, or Datadog is necessary.
• Proficiency in Source Code Management (SCM), including Git, with a strong understanding of best practices and effective version control of code repositories is required.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills are essential.
