Description:
We are seeking a skilled AWS DevOps Engineer with a strong foundation in cloud infrastructure, automation, and modern DevOps practices.
The position is fully remote within the US and is a long-term contract lasting over 5 years.
The role can be filled on a W2 or 1099 basis.
Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and managing scalable AWS infrastructure.
The engineer will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions.
The role requires using Infrastructure as Code, with a preference for AWS CDK.
The engineer will manage and optimize containerized environments using Docker.
The position involves maintaining and administering Linux-based systems.
The engineer will write efficient Python scripts for automation and tooling, but not for application development.
Collaboration with developers, architects, and QA teams is essential to streamline deployment processes and improve system reliability.
Requirements:
Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in AWS DevOps roles.
Strong expertise in Docker and Linux administration is required.
Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines is necessary, with a preference for GitHub Actions.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code is required, with a preference for AWS CDK.
Candidates must be able to write clear, functional Python scripts for infrastructure automation.
A strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and security best practices is essential.
Preferred experience includes familiarity with AWS services such as ECS, ECR, secret manager, parameter store, SQS, and EventBridge.
